Watoto Preparations

Hi girlies :)
Today I'm headed down to Seagulls (a theatre on the southern side of the coast) to get ready for Watoto Children Choir's arrival. My local church are hosting the kid's choir for a weekend as they do an Australian tour. For any of you girls who don't know who Watoto are...

They are an African kid's choir dedicated to improving the way of life for children in Africa. Most of these kids are orphans. Watoto means 'children' in Swahili.

So yes! Very excited I am :)

And another one...

Friday, 17 April, 2009 - 12:15pm
Just because I like to post things...

Here's my 'Like Mother Like Daughter' LO for Deb's April Challenge:  Textures.
The idea was to use at least three different textures on your LO eg. paint, kindy glitz, felt etc.

So here 'tis!

High Society

Friday, 17 April - 12:00pm
Just to let you all know,

Thought I'd show you a bit about High Society :)

High Society is a musical with a book by Arthur Kopit and music and lyrics by Cole Porter.Based on the Phillip Barry play 'The Phillidelphia Story' and the musical screen adaptation it inspired, High Society, the plot centers on pretentious Long Island socialite Tracy Lord, who is planning a June 1938 wedding to an equally pretentious executive George Kitteredge when ex-husband Dexter Haven arrives to disrupt the proceedings. Additional comic complications arise when tabloid reporter Mike Connor, who is there to cover the wedding, also falls for the bride-to-be.
This play is where such classics as True Love, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Well, Did you Evah! began.

I'm really enjoying this play and it opened last night :)
Although I'm just a chorus member, it's heaps of fun!

Here are some pics taken at rehearsals :)

The start of Act 2 - everyone's a little tipsy by now :)

Unfortunately my theatre production High Society is starting tonight at Gold Coast Little Theatre, so I can't be online from the very start :(
